PHILIPPINES ARCHIPELAGO HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE FEARED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright MANILA, November 11. (Received November 12, at 10 a.m.) A typhoon lashed the Philippines archipelago, causing heavy damage to property and disrupting communications and shipping. Manila was struck by violent winds and torrential rains. The exact loss of life has not been established. Twenty-seven fishermen are reported to have capsized in a boat in the hay. The British steamer Kenilworth sent an SOS that she was aground near Penanggungan Point, but apparently was riding out the storm.
