COUNTRY WOMEN'S RECREATIONAL WEEK

Upwards of 60 members of the W.D.F.U. (Otago branch) will arrive in Dunedin next Tuesday for a recreational week, organised by tho Otago .Provincial Council, of whom the chairwoman is Mrs W. Elliott and the secretary, Miss A. F. Borrio. The official opening will take place in the Somerset Lounge at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, and in the evening there will be talks given by Mrs S. M. Park and Mrs Peter Milne in the R.S.A. rooms. The latter will take as her subject ‘ Housekeeping in Kenya.’ Excursions will be made to Larnach Castle, tho Roslyn Mills, the Museum, the Art Gallery, Colnmba College, and the New Zealand Vesta Match Company. An entertainment will be given by members of the Anstral-Girton Club, and a gardening talk at the Gardens, where the visitors will he entertained by the Home Economics Association. The concluding function will he a social evening, arranged by the -Dunedin branch.
