FIRM'S PREMISES AT RABAUL PANIC-STRICKEN NATIVES. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, October 14. Radio advice has been received that the main stove and offices of the Burns, Philp Company at Rabaul were destroyed by fire overnight. The damage has not been estimated. Further details disclose that the whole population is almost panicstricken, hundreds of natives rushing out of the town, fearing that the volcanoes may again erupt. This fear was intensified by the screaming of ships’ sirens and _ violent explosions in the burning buildings. DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £45,000 SYDNEY, October 15.
