WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY MISS FLEMING [Pee United Peebs Association.] WELLINGTON, October 14. Miss Valmai Fleming (Christchurch) won the Wellington women’s championship this afternoon by defeating Mrs Sloan Morpeth (Australia), 6 and 4. Miss Fleming played brilliant golf, but the showery weather made the conditions difficult. In the final ol the Heretaunga Trophy Mrs Godby beat Miss S. Collins, 2 and The semi-finals of the Wellington championship resulted:— Mrs Sloan Morpeth (Australia) beat Miss B. Cheney (Australia), 6 and 4. Miss V. Fleming (Christchurch) beat Mrs H. M'Killop (Christchurch), 5 and 4. - , ' In the semi-finals of the Heretaunga Trophy Miss S. Collins beat Mrs Russell) 4 and 3, and Mrs Godby beat Miss J. Brodie, 1 up.
