OTAGO RIDERS FOR FIRST TRIALS At a meeting of the Selection Committee of the Otago Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Association held last evening, the following riders were selected to represent Otago at the first trials for the selection of teams to represent New Zealand at the British Empire Games: — D. Smart (Dunedin Club), C. A. Robinson and A. Drury (Invercargill Club). . , . The first trial will be held at Christchurch on Wednesday, October 20, but riders will be ineligible unless they compete in the round-the-gorges race, which will take place next Saturday.
