SPORTS GYMKHANA POWER BOAT CLUB EFFORT ' 3 'At a meeting convened by the Otago power Boat Club last night, and at'ifcended by representatives of the Otago Hunt Olub,' Gtago Centre New. The secretary of the Highland Pipe Baud was in attendance, and offered the services of the baud for the afternoon. It was decided that there be a parade from town of decorated motor cars, cycles, and Pipe Band, the sports programme being timed to commence at 2.30. The programme will comprise athletic events, Hunt Club competitions. motor cycle novelty events, motor car displays, whippet racing ; and it has also been suggested that piping and dancing be included. The effort is being staged as a part of the Otago Power Boat Club’s campaign in the aquatic queen carnival, the purpose of which is to thoroughly equip the clubs on the north-east side of the harbour with -up-to-date clubhouses and sailing boats.
