MAN HUNT IN CALIFORNIA
A SPANIARD ARRESTED AEROPLANE COLLABORATES IN SEARCH Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, August 23. (Received August 24, at 10 a.m.) A Merced (California) message states that a two days’ man hunt iu the mountains, in which an aeroplane, horses, dogs, ■ and trackers collaborated, ended in the arrest of a Spaniard named Ygnacio Ayerza, ’ aged 51, who was charged with shooting dead his daughter Theresa, aged 18, also hei fiancee, Julian Galan, aged 32. It was alleged that Ayerza and his wife were driving the couple to their wedding when Ayerza quarrelled with Galan and shot him and Theresa and fled to the mountains, which the pursuers surrounded, closing in in response to signals from the aeroplane.
