INFANTILE PARALYSIS
THE MELBOURNE OUTBREAK Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, August 6. Sixteen cases of infantile paralysis •were reported' this week, bringing the total to 58, six of which have_ been fatal. Cases are now occurring in all the suburbs, and schools are being closed as they appear. One case was reported in the country, 45 miles from Melbourne.
Country residents are appealing to the authorities to prevent children from being allowed to travel from affected areas.
