HIBERNIAN CLUB
The half-yearly meeting of the Dunedin Hibernian Social and Debating ,Club was held in the club rooms. There was a very large attendance of members. The auditor (Mr J. H. Thompson) presented his report and balance sheet, which showed a substantial increase in the club funds, in spite of expenditure on new furniture during the half-year. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The retiring president (Mr W. M'Alevey), reporting on the halfyear’s activities, said that the members had shown keenness and enthusiasm in the debates.
