M.G.M. obtained in the courts a restraining order to prevent Freddy Bartholomew from accepting a contract from any other studio. M.G.M. alleged that his Aunt Millicent was keeping him from performing pictures for M.G.M. and threatening to place him under a contract with a rival studio.
