THE SPRINGBOKS
ARRIVAL AT HAMILTON TO-MORROW'S MATCH * [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, July 26. The Springboks arrived at Hamilton this afternoon, and were met at the station by the mayor and officials of the combined union. The visitors were accorded a warm welcome by the public and schoolboys, who cheered them as they left for their hotel. Later the team was given a strong work-out at Rugby Park. They aliened a ball given in their honour tonight. To-morrow they will visit Waitomo Caves. The failure of L. T. Russell, the Combined team’s half-badk, to pass the medical test to-day will necessitate an alteration in the Combined team, THE AUCKLAND GATE [Per U..;ited Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 20. The official estimate of the attend'ance at the match between Auckland and the Springboks on Saturday was 37,800, and the takings £4,200.
