BISHOP’S WORLD RECORD
The senior bishop by consecration in the whole of the Anglican community throughout the world, and still presid* ing over his diocese, was, till .a fewyears ago, the Bishop of Bunburv (tho Bight Rev. Dr Cecil Wilson), who, on June 11„ reached the forty-third anniversary of his consecration in Auckland Cathedral, New Zealand, as Bishop of Melanesia. Dr Wilson, who is 76 years of age, retired on June 30. When a young man Dr Wilson played cricket with Cambridge and Kent, and was invited to join one of the English teams that visited Australia, but wa» unable to accept the offer.,
