UTOPIA CLUB
ENJOYABLE FUNCTION One of the most enjoyable functions held by the Utopia Club attracted a large- crowd to the Town Hall 1 last nfght. The proceeds derived from the evening?s -entertainment: are to be handed over to the King George V. Memorial Fund, ‘ which 'should benefit by a.good sum. ■ . The various items were well received and all the performers had to give encores. The following contributed to the programme:—Mr Alex., Swan and his band,' assisted by Mr' Arthur Waller, soloist; Mr George Cox and his ballet; Mr L. Andrews (piano accordian); Murray and Bert (comedy sketches); the Wilson Sisters (songs); Mr James Murray (saxophonist) ; Mr Cox and his partner (Rumba and staircase dances) ; “ Mr U and Mr Topia ” (piano duets) ; Messrs Green and Bourko (mouth organ'solos). At the conclusion of the concert an enjoyable community sing was held, the audience, led by Mr A. Hendren, who had associated with him the stage manager (Mr D. Bell), singing the popular choruses with enthusiasm.
