COMMUNITY SINGING

The weekly community sing will he held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward) at midday to-mor-row. The committee has been fortunate in securing the services of Mr W. Crewes, of Wellington, who is one of New Zealand’s most promising singers. His songs are of the hearty, rollicking type, and should find favour with his audience. Mr H. I’. Desmoulins will be the loader and Mr Alt. Pettitt will be at the piano. The proceeds will again he given to the Mayor’s Relief of Distress Fund. Mrs MTntyro. who has charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods and flowers. Donations can be sent to Beggs’ or to the Strand Theatre. “ Cheerios ” should be sent in to Mr Hamburg as early as possible.
