The Minister emphasised the necessity of giving children free access to the fountains of knowledge, so that they could judge facts and think for themselves. An intelligent and wellinformed people was tho only real safeguard for democracyIn tho Dominion, the most democratic country in tho world, an attempt was being made to apply democratic ideals in relation to economic production.
