CAR-RAILCAR COLLISION
INQUEST VERDICT MOTORIST'S ERROR OF JUDGMENT [Per United Press Association\l^^^ MASTERTON, June 28. “ Whether there was a want of caution or not I am not in a_position_ to say, but there is no doubt in my mind that there was some error of judgment on the part of the driver of the motor car,” observed the district coroner, Mr E. G. Eton, when giving his verdict at the inquest held at Carterton to-day concerning the death of aged 17, who died from injuries received in a collision between a motor car, in which he was a passenger, and a railcar at a level crossing near Carterton on May 7. The coroner said he must exonerate the driver of the railcar, who performed his duty by sounding his horn. The motor car was driven by Frank Norman Archer, aged 18 .years.
