Holmlea is Expected here to-morrow morning to discharge and load general cargo. She is to sail the same day tor Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato 'via Timaru and Lyttelton. . Storm docked at Port Chalmers yesterday for cleaning and painting. She was to load at Dunedin this afternoon for Wellington and Wanganui via Tnnaru and Lyttelton. Gale is scheduled to load here on Friday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via ports. Waimarino' is due here to-morrow morning from Bluff, and is to sail in the evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, ' • ellington, and Auckland. Waipahi is to load at Dunedin on Thursday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Holmdale is now due here on r nclay to load and sail the same day for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via ports. Waipiata left Auckland yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due here on Friday. —Overseas. — The Karetu was to sail late this afternoon for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete discharge of her Australian cargo. She is later to proceed to Newcastle and Sydney. . From Melbourne via Bluff, the Union Company’s intercolonial trader Waitaki arrived this morning. She is to sail this evening for Lyttelton and Wellington. The Union Company advises that the Waikouaiti left Sydney to-day for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is due here about July 10. INTERISLAND EXPRESS. . The interisland express steamer Wahine arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 this morning, passengers and mails for the south connecting with the express, which was scheduled to reach Dunedin at 4.18 p.m. AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND. Wanganella sailed from Auckland on Saturday for Sydney, where she is due to-morrow. Gabriella was fixed to load timber at Grafton, New South Wales, on May 30 for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She will also bring a quantity of general cargo from Newcastle and Eden for the two northern ports. She sailed from Clarence River on June 11, and left Edith burg on June 21. Kekerangu was to load in South Australia early in June for Auckland,- Wellington} Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She left finally from Melbourne on June 14, arrived at Auckland on June 21, and is due here about the end of the month. Maunganui left Wellington on Saturday for Sydney, where she is expected to-morrow. Waikouaiti cleared Sydney on Saturday for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. Waiana, from Barry (Wales), arrived at Auckland on June 20, and is expected at Dunedin about July 1 via Portland and Wellington. Waitaki left Melbourne last Thursday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She arrived here to-day, and will sail to-night for Lyttelton. TRANSPACIFIC MAIL SERVICES. —Northbound.— Monterey left Melbourne on June 21, and Sydney on Friday for Auckland (where she arrived yesterday), Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Los Angeles (July 12), and San Francisco (July 13). Monowai left Sydney on June 10 for Vancouver, arrived at Auckland on June 14, left there on June 15, arrived at Suva on June 18, and is due at Vancouver on July 2. Niagara is to leave Sydney on July 8 for Auckland, where she is expected on July 12, to sail the following day for Vancouver via Suva (July 16), Honolulu (July 23), and Victoria (July 29). She is expected at Vancouver on. July 30. , Mariposa is to leave Sydney on July 23 for Auckland, Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, Rhe is expected at •Auckland, on July 26, and at San Francisco on August 10. —Southbound. — Anrangi loft Vancouver pn May 12 for Auckland and Svdney via Honolulu (Mav 19) and Suva (May 28). She arrived at Honolulu on Juno 16, at Suva on June 25, and Auckland yesterday. She sailed to-day, and is due to arrive at Sydney on July 3. Mariposa left San Francisco on Juno 22 and Los Angeles on June 23 for Auckland via Honolulu, Pago Pago, and Suva. She is duo at Auckland on July 9, to sail for Sydney, where she is due on July 12, and at Melbourne on July 15. Monterey is to leave San Francisco on July 20 for Sydney via Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland. She is expected to arrive at Suva on August 3, at Auckland on August 6, at Sydney on August 9, and at Melbourne on August 12. REMUERA’S “ALL WELL.” The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Remuera, which sailed from Wellington on Juno 16 for London, reports by wireless that weather conditions so far have been favourable, and that all on board are well. PASSENGERS FROM ENGLAND. The Aberdeen - Commonwealth Line vessel Jervis Bay, which left London on June 5 for Australia, carried the following passengers for New Zealand via Australia :—Wellington : Mrs M. Martin, Miss J. A. Carrying the returning Coronation Contingent, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rangitiki is expected at Wellington on July 3 to land passengers only. She has cargo from London to discharge at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Bluff, and is due here on July 8. CANADIAN CRUISER WITH NEWSPRINT. The Canadian Cruiser is to leave Port Alfred on June 30 for Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne, with newsprint. She is due at Auckland on August 4. CANADIAN CHALLENGER TO LOAD. The Canad Jan Challenger, en route from Diinedin to New Caledonia, is to return to New Zealand to load, arriving at Auckland on July 9. She is due at Wellington on July 13, leaving there the following day for New York, Boston, and Montreal. NOTICE TO MARINERS. Mariners are advised of alterations to Ferry wharf leading marks', Bluff Harbour. The front leading mark has been increased in size and altered in shape to an inverted triangle and painted black and white diagonal stripes. On the rear leading mark (old Freezer chimney), a patch has been painted black ' and white diagonal stripes. 1 PAKEHA FOR LONDON. The Pakeha, which has been loading in New Zealand, was to leave Lyttelton yesterday for London. She will travel via Montevideo and Teneriffe. THE CITY OF SHANGHAI. The A. and A. Lino steamer City of Shanghai, from New York, is reported to have left Newport News on June" 20 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about July 20. HAURAKI LEAVES LOS ANGELES. Advice has been received by the Union Company thaij its motor ship Hauraki cleared Los Angeles at 5.30 a.m. last Tuesday for Papeete, Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She is due at Auckland on July 15. HUNTINGDON AT WANGANUI. In ballast from Glasgow, the Federal steamer Huntingdon arrived off Wanganui on Friday to commence her Homeward loading, but was Unable to work owing to the heavy seas running. From Wanganui the Huntingdon will proceed to New Plymouth. Opua, Auckland, Tokomaru Bay, Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton to fill up. The vessel is duo here on July 15, and is to clear Lyttelton finally on July 20 for London, Avonmonth, Liverpool, and Glasgow'via Cape Horn and Montevideo. KENT AT LYTTELTON. En route from London via Suva, the Federal steamer Kent has been delayed by had weather, and reached Lyttelton on Friday. She will later complete discharge at Dunedin to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company, and is due to-morrow. She will then commence her Homeward loading at Port Chalmers on July 1 to the Federal agency. Oamaru has now been included in the vessel’s loading ports, and from Port Chalmers she will proceed to Oamaru, Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland to fill up. The Kent is to clear Auckland finally on July 23 for Southampton, London,, Avonmonth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. AURETTA TO-MORROW. To complete discharge at Ravensbonrnc and Dunedin of a cargo of Ocean Island phosphates, the Auretta is now due here to-morrow. THE NEWTON ELM, It is expected that the Newton Elm will complete discharge of her hardwood cargo to-morrow, and will then deck at Port Chalmers for cleaning and painting.
