COMMUNITY SING

The weekly community sing will he held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward) on Friday, commencing at 12.15. A special attraction is to be announced on Thursday. This year the community sings have made an excellent beginning, and the listeners-in and the _ audience have shown their appreciation of the programmes presented, Mr H. P. Desmoulins will he the leader, and Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the piano. The proceeds will again be given to the Mayor’s Relief of Distress Fund. Mrs M'lntyre, who has charge of the stall, will be pleased to receive goods and flowers. Donations can bo sent to Begg’s or to the Strand Theatre. “ Cheenos should be sent in. to Mr Himburg as early as possible.
