SKETCH PLAN of improvements to be carried out on the St. Clair children’s playground and surroundings of the, St. Clair bathing pavilion. The plan was prepared by Mr Arthur Salmond, B.Arch., A.R.1.8.A., at the request of a joint committee set up by the Dunedin Amenities Society and the St. Clair Improvement Society. After approving of the plan these two bodies submitted their suggestions to the Dunedin City Council with the promise that if the plan was accepted the two bodies concerned would find three-filths or the cost of the stone work up to the estimate of £6oo—the council to find the remainder. The offer was accepted by the City Council, and the work will be put in hand immediately.
