LAST ACT OF TAIROA FRACAS [Pee United Peess Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 26. David Thomas Rowan, one of the si* firemen who participated in the fight aboard the Tairoa last Friday, made a fresh appearance in court to-day charged with being a deserter. ■ With the others who were sentenced to imprisonment as a result of the fracas, Rowan was put aboard yesterday before the vessel sailed for Montevideo, but apparently got ashore again.
