A GOOD YEAR [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, June 23. At the annual meeting of the Farmers’ Trading Company the chairman of directors (Mr* A. A. Ross) said the turnover approximated £2,000,000. The gross profits were £405,8(5, and after allov, *' tT for depreciation and outgoings the noiTprofit was £104,236. The directors recommended a dividend of ( per cent, for ordinary shares. During the year £179,649 worth of shares was taken up increasing the number of shareholders by 1,200. , , , , . Replying to a question, the chairman said, although they had disposed of the Queen street lease to Shillings Ltd., there was nothing to prevent them opening a store in Queen street or elsewhere if it suited them to do so.
