PREPARATIONS TO MEET IT ROYAL COMMISSION SUGGESTED Pres* Association —By Telegraph—Copyrighf LONDON, June 21. An influential group of members of the House of Commons, representing important City interests, are pressing the Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) to appoint a Royal Commission to draw up plans calculated at least to mitigate the next slump. The Government so far has not con* ceded the point that Government ac* tion can influence a trade depression, but the opinion is growing that it is necessary to plan machinery to deal with the situation which is likely to arise after the completion of the Government rearmament programme.
