PLANE CRASHES INTO CHURCH ACCIDENT IN MELBOURNE SUBURB Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright , MELBOURNE, June 9. In a denpc fog a plane crashed into a suburban church this evening after cruising for an hour over the city seeking a landing. The plane was carrying two members of the Victorian Flying School, P. M'Alfster and N. Sloan, and was returning from Bendigo. Approaching the city, it entered a fog, lost its bearing, and flew round seeking an aerodrome. Running short of petrol, it came low seeking an emergency landing, and crashed into the church. The machine was wrecked, and the church slightly damaged. Sloan was slightly injured, but M'Alister was not hurt.
Melbourne has been shrouded in a very dense fog for six nights and mornings in succession, causing many traffic accidents and delays to shipping and trains.
