MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE
SHOOTING OF ALLEGED DESERTER Frail Assodation~By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 13. (Received May 14, at 10 a.m.) In, connection with the shooting of Thomas Arbuckle, Sergeant John Park, of the Belfast detective force, was charged with manslaughter. Several witnesses gave evidence that Park fired when Arbuckle was running away.
. The hearing was adjourned. [Thomas Arbuckle, an _ alleged _ deserter from the Royal Irish Fusiliers, was leaving his home in Ardilea street, Belfast, which police soldiers were watching. He tried to escape, but was shot in the leg and died.]
