ROUND OF FESTIVITIES SENTENCED FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT CHICAGO, April 24. Judge Epstein, in the Criminal Court, held an entire jury guilty of contempt of court, and sentenced 11 members to gaol and fined the twelfth 50dol. The jury, acquitted a former court clerk on a charge of embezzlement. The week-end, in which they were supposed to deliberate, was spent in making a tour of taverns, drinking beer, and' entertaining the saloon hostesses. 'Five of the jurors were sentenced to five days’ imprisonment each because of drinking and dancing, and six were sentenced to three days’ imprisonment for drinking only. The twelfth “ just went along.” The bailiff was sentenced to six months in gaol. .... ■
