J«t Reardon) called one of the most diffi* cult cases Heard in Conciliation Conn—oil was concluded to-day, when, the major questions in the New Zealand chemists’ dispute‘were referred to the Arbitration Court. The employers offered without prejudice the following increased rates on the original offer Registered assistants, £5 12s 6d; qualified assistants, £5 2s 6d; unqualified assistants, £4 Os 6d; second-year improvers, £3 10s j first year, £3. They also offered a fortnight’s annual holiday. The offer was unacceptable to the workers. .
