Charged with attempted murder, Charles Henry Bourne (26) appeared in the Police Court this morning. On the request of Detective-sergeant Robertson, accused was remanded till April 29. The charge is the sequel to an altercation at Castlecliff yesterday regarding the occupancy of a house. A violent quarrel developed, during which a gun was discharged, the shot narrowly missing Ernest de Tourett, of Wanganui. • Subsequently accused surrendered himself to the police.
