DENIAL OF MUTINY
INCIDENT OH STEAMER A FIREMAN'S DEATH Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright \ LONDON. April 17. The owners of the - Lackenby, on which it was reported from New York on April 16 that a mutiny had occurred, one being killed and five injured, have now received a cable message from the captain as follows:—“Apparently a fireman named Poole attacked a don keyman named Seymour, t ho knocked him down, allegedly in self-defence. Poole died some hours later owing. X believe, to excessive consumption of rum. This was the sole incident; otherwise the crew’s behaviour is excellent.”
