(Received April 9, at 8 a.m.) The Workers’ Alliance asked for a 20 per cent, increase in the Works Progress Administration wages, and a 4,000,000,000-dollar relief programme for next year. Mr Hopkins rejected the demands and refused to communicate them to the President.
