ROAD SEASON
The road racing season is to com* monce this year with the opening club rmi on May 1, the two following Saturdays being devoted to newcomers’ races. These will probably be over short distances on the Forbury ParkTomahawk circuit. Then will follow the popular .Calder Mackay Cup series of four events, which will probably cover the same races as last season. After that, serious racing in preparation for the 50-mile and 100 kilometre hcampionships will commence. It is yet too early to predict the success or otherwise of the road season, as it is not known definitely who will < be competitors, although it is anticipated that there Will be many new riders in action, while such back markers as 6. Homer, A. Fletcher, M. Paterson, J. Henry, and W. Chalmers will be serious contenders in the bigger events.
