CYCLING NOTES AND COMMENTS
[By Pistol.]
TRACK SEASON FINISHES The track season has been completed and tho riders and officials have good cause to feel satisfied at the progress of tho sport. The season has been the longest and one of the most strenuous for many years. Old riders cannot remember a previous season in which there was so much racing. Taking into consideration that the paralysis epidemic put a stop to activities for a month or'so, a long season was not anticipated. A spell for six weeks from either racing or training activities for many of the riders is now the best policy. With the next track season starting immediately after the finish -of a road season, there will be no time for a spell, and riders would be well advised to have a complete spell for several weeks, if not for two months or more. This will not apply, of course, to riders who have not had l a fairly full track season and new riders who intend starting in the sport at the commencement of the road races.
