BRITAIN’S POLICY
LIBERAL LEADER'S CRITICISM BLOCKING PATH TO PEACE (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, March 10. Sir Archibald Sinclair, at a Liberal dinner, said that the Government’s protectionist policy was responsible for the disturbing international situation. “It is not a happy augury for the future,” he said. “Mr Neville Chamberlain is likely to be Prime Minister. He is blocking the path to peace through obstinate adherence to a policy of economic imperialism. The Empire could not stand another shock like Ottawa. We must abandon Ottawa if we desire to stop the drift towards war.”
