INFANTILE PARALYSIS
ANOTHER OAMARU CASE TWO SUSPECTS AT INVERCARGILL Three notifications of infantile para* lysis—one positive and two suspected—have been received,by the Health Department for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. to-day. Th positive case is of a girl of seven years, who has been admitted-to the Oamaru Hospital from Airedale. There is no sign of paralysis, ' The two suspected cases have entered the Invercargill Hospital. Beth are girls of four and 15 years of age respectively, and have been admitted far the purpose of observation. They are also both residents of the town area. TO REMAIN CLOSED SCHOOLS AT INVERCARGILL [Per United Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, March 11.. Instructions that all Invercargill schools and those within a radius of five miles of the city will remain closed until further notice were given to the Southland Education Board this afternoon by the Minister of Health and Education. (the Hon. P. Fraser). School* outside that area, are to reopen on Monday.
