KAIKORAI CLUB The fifty-third annual meeting of the Kaikorai Football Club was nela mst night in the Wakari Hall. Mr D. H. Cunningham presided over a large attendance of members. ‘The- Chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report, said that, although no team had finished at the top or its respective ladder, the club had reason to he proud of the spirit in which members of the club had played the game. A word of praise was due -to the older players for the manner in which they had supported the activities of the club. The junior players were specially to be commended for the manner in which they had attended, almost to a man, the practice nights. It was not the fault of the coaches that the club had not won the premiership in every grade. These men had put their very best into their work, and should be acknowledged as the backbone of the club. If the juniors carried out their part and followed the coaches’ instructions they need have no fear regarding the playing future of the dub. Gaining premiersnips, however, was not everything, he said, and players should always remember that they were members of a great club—a club with the best of records.

Mr A. M'Donald, one of the early members of the club, complimented the club on its record of the past season. As a coach, himself, Mr M'Donald urged players to pay strict attention to the coach’s instructions. Let each man play in his practices as ho would like to play in nis club games, he said. It was always nice to win; but sometimes nice to lose. He had often been disappointed with a club which had won after playing poor football. He congratulated Mr E. Murphy on being the club’s sole Otago representative. The Kaikorai Club had a proud record to maintain, and he hoped that members would nave a successful season.— The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. OFFICE-BEARERS.
