GERMAN EXPEDITION
TO ATTEMPT: HIMALAYAN PEAK Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, February 19. (Received February 20, at II a.m.) Financed by the German Him2la.ya.ll Foundation, an expedition, led by Dr Karl Wien, professor of geography at Munich, will go to India in April and attempt to scale Nanga Paflbat. The British and Indian authorities have promised assistance. Herr Peter Muellritter, a member of the 1934, expedition, will control the films. Seven experienced mountaineers will accompany the expedition, including three members of former Himalayan parties. [Nanga Parbat is a Himalayan peak 26,620 ft high. A German-American expedition attempted its ascent in 1932.]
