*—Ministerial.— The Minister of Public Works ('Hon. R Semple) visited the Eglinton Valley and the Homer Saddle yeste: lay. He visited Queenstown to-day and will later proceed to Pembroke and thro gh Central Otago to Kurow and Waimato before returning to Wellington. The Hon. M. Connelly left this morning on the first stage of a visit to Sydney. Mr Richard Hudson was a passenger .by the through express this morning, bound for Wellington. Mr James Begg left for Wellington this morning. . Mr W. H. Gordon and Mr T. R, Fhomson left this morning for Papua, Mr and Mrs J. C. White were farewelled by a large number of friends at the railway station this morning as they set out for England. Mr White 's senior district superintendent of'the St. John Ambulance Brigade. Dr A. S. Moody left by the express this morning for Wellington. . Mr J. G. Jeffery was a passenger by the north express to-day. He is ;oing to Wellington. Mr A.
