MARRIAGE FUND IN BULGARIA

A, group of poor young men and sromen'in Sofia have started a benevolent fund to assist members who are desirous of being married. Those eligible for membership are engaged couples themselves. The amount they will receive on marriage is, in English money, £ls, which will be used for furnishing the home. The entrance fee is ss, and for every marriage an additional 6d is due. The fund comes under the State Law for National Insurance. _ Many engaged couples from factories,- shops, and Government offices have become members.
