OPIUM ADDICTS

TWO CHINESE FINED [Pkk United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 12. Caught smoking opium in the loft of a stable, two Chinese appeared in the Police Court this morning.

At Soo, for being found in possession of prepared opium, was fined the mini* mum of £25, while Ah Wing, for being ' found on premises used for opium smoking, was fined £ls. Counsel for the accused said that both the men were opium addicts. They were hard workers, who were smoking for relaxation.
