wahsj.hi> fakdwedi.ed. Auckland to-day tendered a civic farewell to lI.MS. Dunedin, formerly flagship of (he New Zealand Division, which sails for England cm Monday. Citizens assembled in the Town Hall in force to join in paying tribute to a ship which, in Ihe words of the mayor, “■ has almost become an institution in the community life of Auckland. ’’ With that tribute the Goveri.:.:: u I joined, personal messages being sent by -Mr Ravage, lire Minister of Defence, and the Minister of Internal Affairs. There was also a message of good wishes from Dunedin. The mayor said the gathering was unique in the history of the Dominion, in that it was a civic farewell to a ship.— Press Association. FAI!
