A full day’s play on fast lawns and in glorious summer weather enabled the New Zealand croquet championships to be advanced to the semi-final and final stages of the principal events. It is expected that the tournament will be concluded to-morrow. Results OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. _ Third Round.—A. Gibbs beat Mr* McLennan, 26-0, 23-26, .26-13. Semi-final.—Mrs Gambrill beat H. A. Penn, 26-24, 26-2; A. Gibbs beat H. Stratton, 26-19, 26-8. WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP. FIRST LIFE. Semi-final.—Mrs W. Corbet beat Mrs Frost. 26-17. Final.—Mrs W. Corbet beat Mr# Cole, 26-4. SECOND LIFE.
