A revival of the gang methods of the Prohibition era occurred when three young gunmen separated Thomas Scaduto, aged 25, from a crowd of 15 men in a billiard room, stood him against a wall, and shot him dead with pistols and a shot-gun. They walked to an automobile and drove away. ' The police revealed that his brother, Joseph Scaduto, was killed mysteriously in New York two months ago. The motive has not been ascertained.
