The * Daily Telegraph ’ says that Wing-commander Sir Louis Greig was elected chairman of the All-England Lawn Tennis Club. He partnered King George in the doubles championship in 1926. UMPIRES DISSATISFIED LONDON, December 18. Messrs C. P. Dixon, the British nonplaying captain of the Davis Cup team, and C. H. Hyem have resigned from the Lawn Tennis Umpires’ Association owing to being dissatisfied with the manner in which line umpires were selected for two Davis Cup ties arid the Wightman Cup in 1936_. When asked to reconsider their decision they agreed to suspend their resignations pending the next meeting of the council.
