ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS

INJURED IN MOTOR COLLISION. Two men were sent to the hospital as the result of a collision between two cars near the Gore Racecourse at 10.10 last night. Bruce Curtis, a salesman, of Gore, is suffering from an injured elbow, and. James M ( Kinnon, a showman, of Invercargill, from a fractured collarbone and broken ribs. M’Kinnon, accompanied by John Scott Bee, of Invercargill, was returning to Invercargill from the Balclutha show and stopped his car on the side of the road due to the engine overheating. Another car, driven by Curtis, and containing five passengers, was proceeding in the same direction and struck the stationary car. Both cars were extensively damaged. Bee sustained facial injuries and William Cranford, a passenger by Curtis’s car. also has facial injuries.—Press Association.
