A; quite enjoyable free-and-easy-social evening was held by the Otago branch of the Hallway Officers’ Institute in the Somerset Lounge last evening. Mr D. J. Munro was chairman, and there was a fair attendance of members. Mr Tano fama gave an enjoyable and interesting talk on the Maori race, items were rendered by Mr R. P. Murphy (humorous stories) and Mr D. J. Munro (song). Mr 11. Clarkson capably carried out the duties of pianist. Protect your skin!
