PRISONERS SENTENCED

[Per United Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, August 11. The Supreme Court opened before Mr Justice Kennedy, who congratulated the district on the lightness of the calendar. George Saunders Ellis, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to two months for assaulting a teacher; Philip Sidney Donaldson, for breach of a probation order, was sentenced to sis month* additional; William David James Nicol, for forgery and uttering, was given two years’ probation.,
