STOLEN CAR IN CRASH
DRIVER AND PASSENGER DECAMP [Per United Press Association.], AUCKLAND, July 3. Stolen from outside a house in Carlton Gore road, Grafton, earlier in the evening, a sedan motor car hit a St v Heliers bus, which was being driven along the waterfront road toward the city, sliortly after 9 o’clock and was badly damaged. After glancing from the back of the bus, it hit and smashed a lamp standard and somersaulted on to its back. The driver and three passengers, all men, were dragged out by the driver of the bus. Two of the passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but the driver and the other passenger disappeared. The lamp standard into which the car crashed was snapped off at the base, and the concussion also broke the lamp off the top.
