EMPIRE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
CONGRESS AT WELLINGTON IN OCTOBER [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 3. The congress of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire, which will be held in Wellington in October under the presidency of Viscount Elibank, will be opened by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, .who also will be honorary president. He will give an evening reception at Government. House on October 1 to the delegates and the ladies accompanying them. There will be a State luncheon on October 2. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, Mr Sullivan, the Minister of Customs, Mr Nash, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Leo Martin, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner, and the Canadian Trade Commissioner will be honorary delegates. An advance delegate will be Sir Thomas Wilford, who is chairman of the council of the Empire Federation.
The delegates from the New Zealand Associated Chambers will be Mr Norton Francis (Christchurch), Mr M'Caul (Wellington), Mr A. H. Allen (Dunedin), and Mr A. M. Seaman (Auckland). Delegates will also be present from various branches.
