THE KING’S TITLE
'At the annual conference of the Scottish National Party in Glasgow recently (Sir'Alexander Mac Ewen presiding) the fallowing resolution was passed: — , ‘‘ This conference, in all loyalty, protests against the assumption of the title ‘Edward VIII.. by His Majesty the King. It respectfully reminds him that he occupies his Throne.'by virtue .of his descent from the kings of Scots, and ' that, as King of Great Britain, he is ; not the eighth, but ,the second, ; Sovereign of his,name. ,It therefore appeals I to him to have regard to the sentiment i > of his loyal Scots subjects and to hare j himself, crowned as Edward II.”
