(Received July 4, at 2 p.m.) The ‘ Gazette ’ announces the ap* pointment of a Privy Council committee, consisting of 42 members, including the Duke of York, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, the Duke of Norfolk, Cabinet Ministers, leaders of the opposition, also Mr* Lloyd George and Mr Winston Churchill, any five of whom can form a quorum, to consider preparations for the Coronation. The parliamentary writer of * The Times ’ says the committee will _ consider preparation ' concerning • Britain, but the change in status of the selfgoverning dominions gives them _ i independent interest. The question of arranging the dominion’s participation in the preparation of aspects of the ceremony which are the common concern of the dominions and Britain'is still being discussed between Governments.
