Prendergast and Odilion were unplaced in the third division of the same race. Red Rosebud was unplaced in the Three-year-old Handicap, Collstar third in the Juno Handicap, Golden Chance second in the Dundas Handicap, and Golden Gate third in the- Parramatta Mile, in which Lovesong and Maestro were unplaced. 1

JOCKEY SUSPENDED BRISBANE, June 14. The well-known jockey E. Tan wan was suspended from riding for six months, the stewards finding that he had not allowed his mount to run on her merits at the Albion Park races on June 10. LOVELOCK'S FINISHING SPRINT WINS THREE-MILE RAGE IK FAST TIME LONDON, June 13. In an interclub match for the .Kiunaircl Trophy at White City, Lovelock, representing the Achilles Club, won the three miles in 14mii) 20 l-ssec, a record for the contest, beating Hadlaiul. of Polytechnic, by 12ycls. The New Zealander ran easily with the leaders throughout the race, and sprinted over the final 100yds and won amidi enthusiasm.
Brown won the 100yds in 9.9 sec, beating Sweeney, the British and Empire Games champion, by inches. Brown won the quarter-mile in 48.3 sec, a
record for the contest, beating Rampling, the British record holder, by a yard. BOXING AUSTRALIAN BEATEN Press Association—By Telegrapli—Copyright HONOLULU, June 13'. Young Gilde, a Filopino, gained the decision over Osborne in an eightround contest. Gilde .was credited with five rounds, the others being even. Gilde's victory was decisive, although the Australian fought savagely. Osborne was best at close quarters, but Gilde was superior at long range. Both tinished strongly.
